Writing Update!

Well my two initial readers Joanne and Geoff have both caught up on their reading and finished chapter 15 on the same day. And so far so good, though Joanne thinks I am starting to get a bit wordy. Hmmm. However, I can always trim down as I need to when this draft is complete and I'm pretty sure my manuscript will lose even more weight on a crash diet when my future editor is through with her, though I don't want her to lose too much, I like her just the way she is...

Anyway....

I finally got back into the swing of writing after nearly 3 days hiatus-OMG! But the good news is, I went back into fix up some pieces of chapters 14 and 15 (also added in a few more red herrings). Geoff is starting to get some ideas about my big bad, though he hasn't figured things out yet;) I need to put in a few more red herrings just to be safe.

But here is the best news. I can see the end. I'm finally crawling out of that murky horrible swampy pit known to all writers at the pit of despair...I mean the middle. Yuck! I am not looking forward to traveling there again on book 2. But I made it through, so that's all that counts.

Anyway, I'm setting up one major climactic moment that is about to explode, which then leads right into the major epic climactic ending of book 1. I'm so close! So since there are 11 more days of July, I've decided I need to finish this book in 11 days. And as long as I keep writing, there is no reason why I shouldn't achieve it. Then I have August to revise, and distribute my book to all willing beta readers. And then it's off. So yeah, this is the part of my post that explains the poster.
