Hmmm

OMG I didn't blog yesterday...what happened?

Anyway I've been up for a bit reading through my draft of Rose Lily and having mixed feelings-some parts I really love, some...not so much.

I read somewhere awhile ago that when you revise you are supposed to re-vision the story, like allow it to newly form again and some of that advice is starting to sink in. I'm getting some ideas for a few new scenes that I think will really help with character development, and I'm also seeing ways to pull back on a lot of other scenes and tighten things up.

It's kind of exciting and kind of very frustrating. I'm excited to make my book better...but I so want to be finished with it already!!! I'm now entering into my 3rd year of writing this book (like hardcore almost daily working on it-even though I had the idea back in the summer of 2004).

We'll see how much work I get done today. I'm torn...I want to work on this....but I also need to prep for teaching...and I have a belly dance performance I need to prepare for early in the evening.

I'll let you know how it all goes. Hope everyone else's Saturday is either totally productive (if that's what your looking for) or a lot of fun and relaxing (if your the sort of person who takes Saturday off). :-)
